can you go into control panel and look under power options? there you will see power meter on one of the tabs. click on it and see if you see if the battery is charging. if its not, there might be a problem with your power supply, the battery or the motherboard that controls the charge.
one of the ways to check if the power cord has problems is removing the battery and leave the power cord connected and see if it powers up normally. If it does, then remove the power cord and use the battery to do the same but leave the laptop on until the battery is totally drain and shuts down. try to turn it on a few times just to make sure battery is drained. then plug in the power cord to see if it charges your laptop. if all works then what you might need is to update your laptop firmware
Try reseating the memory and if that doesn’t work, install the 512’s one at a time to see if one might be defective. If the laptop still won’t turn on, reinstall original memory and see if laptop powers on. Your responses are intended to improve the level of service provided.
