We understand that your problem is: KitchenAid Dishwasher # KUDIO1ILBTG or 6 on end.... last cycle run was rinse, loaded more dishes and now it wont run. No lights on front, but when push buttons nothing happens. I checked the overflow on the sink and looks OK. .
It is possible you have an internal fuse blow out on the dishwasher.
See item 6 on page 2 of this parts list.
But first turn mains off and on again to check if anything happens ( a reset of some sorts).
I have a repair manual for this but not immediately accessible. Will be about 7 hours that I can get back on this.
yes I meant the power outlet and looks like you have already done that.
The part you will need is the fuse kit which is inside the control panel on top of the door.
This should restore the power back to the controller. If you can take it out and check resistance with ohm meter. Should read nearly 0 ohms if OK.
For details of the assembly of the dishwasher refer these diagrams.
Hope this helps.
You will have to track it in the space between the inner and outer door panels. The fuse should be touching the inner panel of the door inside the cavity between the inner and outer door panels. Trace the wiring harness from the controller.
All KitchenAid dishwashers of that model should have it.
Please reconfirm that you are not getting any lights on the panel to come on.
Unfortunately at the moment I do not have access to a physical dishwasher to confirm if this is ok.
If the part looks like the one in the diagram on the website then it is the thermal fuse.

I have checked the breaker and the outlet has power. my user instructions and reference guide dont show how to take apart the
I assume by resting the "mains" you are referring to the house circut breaker...I will do that, shut it off and on.(I have all ready unpluged and tested the outlet and pluged the unit back in, since it is not hardwired) and I will await the next suggestion with the repair manual hopefully we can detect which fuse is bad, if this is the problem.
Ok I got the top area off but I dont know which part is the correct one ( does not look like your diagram??? I took 3 picutres can I email them to you? you can email me @ [email protected]
OK O think I found it and no ohms I have circled the part in the pic below just to make sure its the right one....
I have just ordered this part... Hopefully (fingers crossed), this is the problem
this fuse worked...but I could not use the wireing that came with it as the original wires were spliced into another wire harness and then continued on ... so I just installed the fuse and its back to working order... Thanks for your help
Hey know anything about electric double ovens (my luck is goose eggs lately) used the self cleaning function today for aprox the 4th time in 14 years and oven started beeping about 1/2 hour into the 2 hr cleaning and flashing a F2 code... I had to go out to the breaker and turn it off to stop the beeping...oven is still locked I am assuming till cools down?
