I have a GE front loader that is just a year old, did a load of wash and had water underneath what could be causing

• You will find a small door on the front bottom of the washing machine.
• Open it.
• Unscrew the filter and rinse it with running water.
• Put it back in place and repeat the above steps in reverse order.

This should solve your leakage problem.

Hi mine does exactly the same! I have to call in my washing machine technician more often (he told me this would happen with a top loader as opposed to a front loader, boy was he right!!) and he cleans out the drum. Mostly it is the fabric softener which is too thick. I water mine down to 50/50 and I do another spin after my final wash. I also empty the filter of water at the side/bottom of the machine. This annoying problem is caused by the way the drum turns on a top loader as opposed to the front loader. My top loader cannot heat water automatically either like a front loader, and I think this also adds to the problem as hot/boiling water would dissolve all that soap/fabric softener. there are tablets you can buy to remove the smell,call your appliance store and they'll help you

things that cause leaks / does it leak when you arn't using it . ( ck the fill hoses ) run a cycle with the front panel off and look with light for leakage . the hoses underneath /the front rubber boot / pump hoses ( connections ) and note where water first show. . and get back with me. you have to be a good detective with some cases.. mm

Run the unit through a cycle with HOT water and a small box of baking soda plus detergent--no clothes. There are a number of cleaning products on the market that do the same thing (but more expensive). Redo this whenever you notice the smell returning.

I had the same problem. Have you cleaned the filter under the front panel? Simply remove the three screws holding the panel below the door and remove the 2" white screwcap. Be sure to have a basin handy to catch the water. (possibly a couple of gallons if the stainer is really clogged) I suspect you'll find several moldy items that are causing the odor. Good luck.
