The brushes can not be replaced on a DW959. You have to replace the motor. It's a sealed unit. There is no way to replace them.

Not so simple. The YouTube videos are for other midels, not for the Dewalt DW959. The DW959 was not meant to be serviceable so you must take apart the housing as well as disassemble the motor.

the brushes are made to slide into the side of the motor. gently pull up on them. Also I would recommend that you go to Dewaltservicenet.com and type in your model number for a parts explosion and part number for replacement brushes. Let me know
