I was going to sychronize some songs on Windows Media Player, but when I put in the my MP3 it said 'USB device not recognized' so I looked around, tried reattaching the MP3 a few times and it still didn't work. The worst part is the when I took out my MP3 it still had a blue screen that said 'MTP Connected'.I tried turning off the device and it wouldn't do anything. My MP3 was working fine before I had connected it,also. So what can I do to get my MP3 working again?Or should I just replace it? zen mp3
Uninstall the MTP Device in the control panel of your desktop using the add/remove hardware wizard.
Possible firmware upgrade issue.
Reset first - located on side of player. If that fails, Creative actually has a step by step tool you can use at:

I am having the exact same problem. Did you figure it out? Thanks in advance.

Mine was solved by using a shorter, heavier, USB cable. Even though my retractable USB cable works for my phone and other MP3 player, it doesn't work for this one.

Try installing the Samsung drivers for your MP3.
