My hp1210 printer does not work on window 7 os

What OS do you have? Please add the update version for Windows 10. The drivers are still available from Canon here: https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/support-inkjet-printer/i-series/i9900?tab=drivers_downloads for supported OS versions. It looks like the printer used Windows Update for to install most of the drivers under Windows 7. There is an optional update for the driver on the site but it doesn't work unless Windows Update installed the basic driver. The Canon didn't officially support the printer for any OS after Windows 7.

The Windows 7 driver worked under 8 (8.1) and some versions of Windows 10 for a while. (Under Windows 8, the ZoomBrowser software didn't work.) Then Microsoft became strict about not allowing unsigned drivers to install. The easiest solution is to find an old Windows 7 computer to connect to the printer. Alternatively, get an unused install license and build a virtual machine to connect to the printer. Note: recent cumulative updates for Windows 10 have caused issues with USB printers.

If you are using Windows 8 or 8.1, try connecting the printer via the USB port with the machine off. The restart the computer; make sure that the Windows Update is set to find updates for other devices (not just Windows). If you are using the printer over a network, some found using the Canon ProMark 9000 series drivers worked.

In Windows-based systems, you open the Printers and other peripherals folder. Point to your printer with the mouse cursor and right click. In the drop down window that opens check the seb-menu option MAKE DEFAULT.

Your Windows 7 operating system is not compatible to your HP printer. Your printer only in working only for Windows xp windows 2000 and Windows vista . Check your manual for OS requirement. Your need to use either any of OS i mention to be able to install your printer Requirements Win XP/2000/Vista

Windows 7 is still a beta and not all drivers exist for this operating system. Your best chance is to try if the driver for Windows Vista or XP would work. And try that with the Administrator privilages "on". If that fails try with the nearest alternative model drivers of HP. Good luck.

hey if you go to hp.com go faq you will find your question and it will direct you to an updatefor your problem its because hp director has issues with internet explorer 7 and 8 hope it workes

hp 1210 will not work in a dual boot computer. I had to uninstall from XP Pro. I now can scan using Window Photo Gallery. ps now the scan botom will work
