It has cd transport mechanism problems. If it cost less than $300, junk it because ot fix that will cost about $125. I fix them for $100 shipping included. Goodluck.

I have a Panasonic CQ-RX400U and I need to hook it up to a 1992 Ford Taurus and I need cables to hook it up and the thing that holds it in place in the dash.

I would get an stereo installation kit from Auto Zone or a local automotive audio store. It will come with the surround for the new stereo to fit where the old stereo went, and a wiring harness to hook the new stereo up to and plug into the existing car wiring.

Error saying MUTING LV 0

Hello da_redhot_su,

Make sure that the "MUTE" button on the upper left of the volume control is operating properly. Sometimes a button will get stuck.

If that does not work, there's something wrong internally and you need to take the receiver to your audio dealer for repair.

Hope this helps.

Burnt CD Stuck Inside of Panasonic Car Stereo

Looks like you will have to dismantle the player. CDR discs are slightly thicker than commercialy made audio CD's and some times stick.

No sound from CQ-1305U car CD/stereo

You may have one of this two problems:
One of the speaker wires is grounded to the chassis.
Or your car may have a factory amplifier between the radio and the speakers.
My suggestion is to rewire the speakers lines
