This depends on the signal source. If it is digital, from a digital receiver, the audio will be either S/PDIF or Optical and the video will be a yellow RCA connector (co-axial). If analogue, the audio will be two RCA connectors (red-right and white-left) and the video will be component (green, blue, red RCA) Alternatively you may have a composite audio/video signal (yellow) which is both audio and video. Of course you must be sure to choose the inputs into which you have plugged your signal source. Cheers, Don.
They are Video and Audio for connecting device together
Yellow = Video
White = Audio - left channel
Red = Audio - right channel
the connectors on a Desktop PC from the graphics card will be an OUTPUT-possibly labelled TV output, so what ever is displayed on your monitor can also be sent to a TV or recorder etc
The connectors on the Xbox are also OUTPUT and designed for connection to a device which has the same connection but for INPUT
Your monitor may have composite inputs and allow you to switch to those
Some TVs will have those connections as inputs and you would select one of the AV options to see the signal, often a separate button to choose AV input /HDMI / PC etc
Some DVD and Video also have these as an INPUT as video cameras often have that type of connection - to record the signal

The ProScan will accept input on input 90/91/92 using the connectors on the backside. You can use S-video[the little round black connector] or the composite video [yellow connector] for the video in and use the red / white pair for audio in. 90 selects S-video and audio 1 in 91 selects composite and audio 1 in 92 selects composite in 2 and audio 2 in Connect these cords to the S-video or composite yellow output, and the Red-right White- left audio outputs on the DVD. If you don't want to do this, get a RF modulator ~$15, and connect the yellow/red/white from the DVD output to the inputs on the modulator, and then connect the RF [cable] output of the modulator to the antenna input on the ProScan, and tune channel 3 or 4. tom
NO> If your TV supports and have HDMI connections and your HD receiver has an HDMI output then you should have no problem displaying Video. Just make sure you change the input signal of your television to HDMI input. After looking at the spec's of this model these are the following inputs you have. your best picture quaity would be to use componet cables instead, which can show full screen 1080i format, your television does not show at 1080p whis is what HDMI is known for.
Connectors Rear Input Connectors S-Video x 2 - Component x 3 - Composite x 2 - DVI x 1 - RF x 2 - 1 x RS-232C - Audio (RCA) x 6
Front Input Connectors S-Video x 1 - Composite x 1 - Audio (RCA) x 1
Rear Output Connectors Composite x 1 - Audio (RCA) x 1 - RF x 1
Another good option is use to use a DVI to HMDI connector and hook it up this way. But note: you will have to use audio cables for the DVI input.
Check to make sure that your series of set has an S-Video connector on the input panel (usualy located on the rear side of the set).
In most TV sets, the S-Video is shared with video input 1, and or 2.
For example, if the S-Video connector is located at position 1, then make sure that there are no other connectors in the video connector for the base-band video feed. The audio connectors will be okay, because S-Video does not carry the audio.
When using S-Video, the L and R audio, and the S-Connector video input will be used on the respective video input.
Your tv could have a losse connection on the video input. Try moving it around to see if you get any picture. Either that or u need a new audio video cord for your console
