What system cabinet do you have in the back room? This requires 3 things, CID service, hardware, and software on the proper system.

Yep. It requires a TD-193 CID card. They are kinda hard to find, but they can be had for $150-200. The last one I had got "lost" by a major shipping concern. That's tha last time I insure it for wholesale value LOL

Whoops, wrong system. I'm working two CID questions and I gessed wrong :-). Yes, you need the CID system, generally in a CICS it's a CID 4-port trunk card. I'm working on a CID upgrade in Ohio now. IIRC it also need 6.0 or greater software and you press Feature 811 or 812 to see the call log. I think it's about $400 or so for the card and your dealer might give you a trade in on the present trunk card.

I just received KX-T7730 phone with an LCD screen and it is not showing the caller ID # that is dialing in. It only displays CO 1. The previous phone similar to KX-T7730 shows the caller id #. So how can I...

The one who can show the caller ID when someone call is the caller only. He/she can set to hide his/her number ID in their phone so we can't see it. We can't force to see this caller ID, but if this calls disturbed you, you can install call blocker and only allow certain incoming call to be recieved.

Hope his help and rate please.

StarTalk Flash is 1.7.00 + caller ID

The Star Talk Flash is a voice mail prduct. The caller ID feature is a phone system feature. If your system is a norstar CICS or a MICS the caller ID will work only if you have the caller ID capable central office circuit packs installed. Look on the card and see if the label has "CLID". If it dose there is also additional programming required for each set under.... terminals &sets/telco features/featue assignments/show line/caller ID...set:Y. You also have to program (under sets) /telco features/caller ID: Y.

Hope this helps.

Phone doesn't show caller id numbers anymore.

You need to make sure you have programmed your area code...check the manual for setting up caller ID. You can search for the manual on line...go to Retrevo.com

No Caller ID on display

To set up call id you need to enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming.
At the terminals&sets prompt, press the show key (top right arrow). The display should now ask for an extension number. Enter extension number you wish to program call log on. Press the show key (top right arrow)
Press the next key (bottom right arrow) 5 times. The display should say TELCO FEATURES.
Press the show key (top right arrow) 2 times. The display should say CALLED ID: N(or Y)Press the change key til it says Y.
press the release key.
that should do it providing you have caller id service though your local telco provider.

Caller ID

Since it appears by default, I'm guessing that the phone is not ringing. It has to ring to display CID. You need to make sure that it is part of an ICD group with Immediate ring.

Caller id

Unfortunately just adding caller ID to your phone line will not work with many business phone systems, especially older systems.

You can have this phone on one of several different Toshiba phone systems. The system must have caller ID equipment installed and programmed correctly for caller ID information to be shown on your phone's display.

Caller ID information is transmitted between the first and second ring. With business phone systems the system itself needs to collect this information and then pass it along to any phones that are programmed to ring at any given time.
