Hi! My battery charging status disappeared after I'd reinstalled Windows on my hp Mini netbook. I'm running xp

boot it with the windows XP CD and reinstall windows. hit the 'r' key the second time it appears on the screen when it says that it has found an existing OS in 'c' drive, this will reinstall the OS without loosing any previous data.

What operating system are you using?
from the keyboard hold down the windows key then press the letter R.
The run box should come up, type in intl.cpl
This will open the regional settings of the computer
The first tab should be format. Change it to english.
Clicl the third button (apply) on the bottom and then click the first botton (OK).
Note: Only applies for computers which has other languages installed.
IF you are using windows xp there may not be a way but to grab a XP english cd and reinstall it.

www.hp.com go to support/downloads find your make model and operating system as in
xp or vista or windows 7

then scroll down to find webcam driver

download it
install it
restart laptop
and all should be well

You can use an external dvd drive--or copy it to a USB flashdrive(have to make it bootable) or there may be a recovery console on a hidden partition (very common for netbooks)

You can download the WEBcam drivers from the Compaq/HP WEBsupport/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Click onthis link to download the drivers: -

There is a coin cell battery inside the netbook that needs to be changed.

Guessing that your netbook is running Windows XP as most do, you'll want to download the XP drivers for your printer and install them. Then try hooking it up to one of your netbooks usb ports.
