I have an EPSON Photo 1400, its only a couple of months old. I had a bad paper jam and now the "out of paper" light is blinking really fast, faster then normal. I pushed the button and the paper feeds through but I can't get it to print and the light to turn off. Also my ink low light is on and when I push it to replace the ink nothing happens. The carriage won't move for me to replace the ink. I have turned the printer off and rebooted my computer turned everything back on and still have the same problem.
If you are getting a 'carriage jam' error as soon as you turn on your Epson printer with no tasks in progress, then check for any piece of paper stuck in the carriage. Remove the paper carefully. If the paper tears, part of it might remain inside the paper path and damage the product.

Asit is only a couple of months old seek a replacement under guarantee/warranty.
