SOURCE: I have replaced that batteries in a Ferrups FE7

wwright3 has no clue. There is no "On" button. Push "Control"(Red Button) then #2 (Auto button) Enter and Enter to confirm. Then is't online. Make sure the battery breaker is closed if you have that option.

I have a "low A/C output" message. Is this related to a faulty DVR or another board?

From the user manual: http://lit.powerware.com/ll_download.asp?file=Eaton%20FERRUPS%20User%20Guide.pdf page 108.

The output voltage is below the alarm setting as determined by setup parameters 59 and 60.

Verify the output voltage using a voltage meter. If correct, verify setup parameters 59 and 60. If alarm condition continues, bypass the UPS and turn the UPS switch off. Call your service representative.

Anti theft wont shut off when battey has died

Hi. To stop this you need to power up the car and activate the ignition. If the battery voltage gets too low when the alarm is armered then the alarm thinks you have disconnected the battery in a theft attempt and the siren activates. The easiest repair is to repalce the battery or repair any currnet draw issues.

Mike Decamp is clueless. That is not a answer. The UPS has large DC capacitors. These do go bad over time. The capacitors are required to maintain a good DC Buss and helps in assisting when putting the UPS in bypass and back online. You can not turn on the inverter with out precharging the capacitors. Get the part numbers of the caps and replace. Make sure UPS and batteries are off or you will get shocked.

BATTERYS DIE AFTER 3 MONTHS, ON A FE500V?

The batteries in a FERRUPS typically last 3-6 years depending on how many power outages you have, how much heat there is, etc. So, 3 months doesn't sound right. Hopefully, you are buying batteries from a reputable source. Eaton bought Powerware about 6 years ago and retained their service network which has lots of techs trained on the FERRUPS. I suggest you contact them:

If you attempt to disconnect the battery the alarm will go off and you may not be able to reset it. there is a specic code to be set before any maintenance can be done. These codes are all different otherwise there would be no security!
Any alarm company would be willing to change your battery and if its a monitored alarm they might also want to take on your monitoring. Call an alarm or security company in your area for assistance

Freezer alarm stuck on - can't reset

Hi: Does the freezer have a battery backup for the electronics? A 9v. battery in the grill down below. You won't have to remove the grill but pull a small rectangular panel to expose the battery. High end Kenmore freezers have a battery to back up the alarm. The six you see is actually supposed to be a "b" for battery most likely. L.E.D.'s are tough to tell the difference. Buy an new battery and all will be well. I hope this helps, Jeff
