THis sounds like a controller board problem. In many of the treadmills I have seen the same board controls the drive motor and the incline motor. If this product is under warranty have the company covering the warranty check it out. Anytime you buy one of these machines buy the extenced warranty. I was a field service tech for a warranty company. When you call in with a problem make it sound severe.. I have replace almost everything in one except the frame just to make a customer happy. I am not sure of the error message but i seem to remember it being associated with the controller.

Nordic Track T12 si , belt won't run

If the belt on your Nordic Track T12 si treadmill is not running even though the display and other functions appear to be working, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the safety key: Ensure that the safety key is properly inserted into the console. The treadmill will not operate if the safety key is not securely in place.
  2. Reset the treadmill: Turn off the treadmill and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset the treadmill's internal systems and may resolve any temporary issues.
  3. Calibrate the incline: If you recently used the incline function, it's possible that the calibration of the incline mechanism is off. Consult the user manual for instructions on how to calibrate the incline. This process may vary depending on the specific model of your treadmill.
  4. Check the motor and drive belt: Inspect the motor and drive belt for any signs of damage or wear. If the drive belt is loose or worn out, it may prevent the belt from moving properly. If necessary, consult the user manual or contact Nordic Track customer support for guidance on inspecting and adjusting the motor and drive belt.
  5. Lubricate the belt: Insufficient lubrication can cause the belt to stick or not move smoothly. Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to properly lubricate the treadmill belt. Use a silicone-based lubricant recommended by the manufacturer.
  6. Contact customer support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it is advisable to reach out to Nordic Track's customer support. Provide them with detailed information about the problem and any troubleshooting steps you have already taken. They will be able to offer further assistance, including potential repair options or guidance from a technician.

Trimmaster 360HR .

An E1 error code is a very broad code. It is important to know when the E1 occurs and what was being done when it occurred. An E1 code just means that the console is not getting a reading from the reed switch (Speed Sensor). If the running belt moves for several minutes and then produces the E1 error, this is most commonly a result of the running belt needing lubrication. The motor control board will shut down due to the motor pulling too much current, triggering a safety shut down. It is important to maintain a proper lubrication schedule for your treadmill. The lubrication frequency will vary depending on the model, please refer to the lubrication instructions in the owner's manual. When lubricating be sure to use a 100% silicone non-aerosol treadmill lubricant, applying 1-oz.
After lubricating the running belt, if you still continue to have problems or it returns after just a few weeks, the running belt may have become glazed. This is a term used that describes the pores on the underside of the running belt closing due to excess friction. When this occurs, the running belt can no longer absorb lubrication. In this instance you may need to replace the running belt as continued use can lead to damage of other components such as the motor and the motor control board.
If the running belt stops after 6 seconds of starting the treadmill, this may indicate that either the speed sensor needs adjusting/replacing or the main wire harness is damaged.
If there is no belt movement, or you notice a burning smell coming from the motor area, this may be an indication that the motor or motor control board has become damaged. Without lubrication, continued use can cause damage to the motor and/or the motor control board which may require replacing of these components. If needing to replace either of these components, it will likely be necessary to replace the running belt as well. Doing so will prevent friction from damaging the newly installed components or other components in the machine.

No existing problem. what is proper lubrication for pm maintenance? any other check points?

.5 oz of Icon lubricant(can be purchased on ebay cheapest) applied to deck. Adjust the walkbelt, check drive belt tension, check amperage on motor no load and under load, calibrate the speed and incline. You can calibrate your treadmill by doing the following:
let's try to calibrate the speed

1. With the key off press the speed + and stop buttons at the same time and hold
2. place the key on and release the buttons
3. press the stop key once
4. press the speed up til it reaches 85
5. if your max speed is 10 mph then it should read about 9.8-10.2
6. If it is over or under we will need to adjust the speed potentiometer on the motor controller
7. to do this remove the motor hood and find the electronic board.
8. there will be a round adjustable pot on the board that you can place a small screwdriver in to adjust.
9. depending on if you need it to speed up or slow down is the direction you will need to turn it.
10. the goal is to get it to be about .1-.2 mph more then the max speed of the treadmill.
11. As long as it is in the range above it is performing ok.

now to calibrate the incline:
1. remove safety key
2. press and hold the speed+ and stop keys at the same time
3. Put the safety key in/on and release the keys
4. press stop once
5. hit the incline + arrow and let the incline go the whole way up and down

Treadmill powers off when pressing Incline Increase "br 1" error

You may have a beltand deck problem. Test by the following procedure:
without the poweron stand on the walking belt, push the belt in the, direction it normally turns. If the belt is very difficult to turn (on most treadmill this means that you have high belt/deck friction I first apply silicone lubricant between the belt & deck to see if that clears up the problem. Most problems originate from the belt and deck 75 to 85% of the time

Treadmill stops when i incline it

Start your unit without any body on it, then increase incline and see if the unit shuts down if it does not then the first thing I would do is lubricate the deck if no maintenance has ever been done on the unit refer to your owners for the procedure. After lubricating the deck proceed with normal operation of the unit. If this do not take care of the problem you may have a worn belt and deck thus causing too much power to be draw thus shutting it down.

Treadmill motor cuts out on speeds 10km/hr or more within a very short time incline or not at lower speeds no problems Cheers

Sounds like you've never lubricated the belt. This has caused frequent overheating issues so now at higher speeds, the motor control board overheats and shuts down.

You'll have to first loosen the belt, then lubricate it. After words, tighten the belt again, if at all possible, don't tighten it as much as it was before, as overtightened belts are often a contributing factor.

Then calibrate the treadmill, make sure you are using a surge supressor and you hould be good for a while.

MY TREADMILL STOPS JUST A MINUTE AFTER STARTING.

Try Lubricating the belt with silicone spray.
Probably the resistence from the belt scraping over the ground board is too high, forcing the machine to switch off in order to prevent damage.

Kettler treadmill "silikon wartung"

Hi eirik,

Your treadmill needs lubricating.
Get a an aerosol with silicone lubricant and spray it under the belt & on top of the ground board.
Then turn the belt by hand (treadmill switched off!) until you've lubricated the whole belt.
Next leave the machine running for 5 minutes at 5 KM/H (3 M/H) without any load on it.

That should do the trick.

Washing machine problem

Sure you need to lubricate. But change the belt, you get all sizes easily. The wiirring noise is usually when the belt is off, worn out likely.
