Hoover PE235 Front Load Washer Questions & Answers
Hoover washing machine front loader, has power,
Hi brennanjodi
I think your door interlock needs replacing. Turn off the power undo the front of the door gasket and that will get you to the lock mechanism. They're about £20 to replace.

Which compartment is for popwder
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
A quick and easy way to find out which tray is which is to pull the detergent drawer out just so that you can see into it. Start a pre-wash and see where the water runs in, then advance to the main wash and observe. Finally start a rinse cycle and where the water goes in is where the conditioner/softener goes.
In a few cases I have come across, the pre-wash tray shares with the conditioner/softener part but the pre-wash powder goes in the front and the softener in the back.
Methinks you could also do with a manual!
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount. During the process you will be asked for the actual model number!

Split water pipe
The only thing you can do is purchase the correct pipe and replace it. It is not worth trying to seal or tape the pipe, these repairs seldom work for any worthwhile time.
HOW DO I GET TO
Hello,
Unplug the washing machine and turn off the water.
Open the small trap door next to the drain hose connection on the back of the washer to gain access to the filter.
Good luck

Drums tries to turn but fails.
usually there is a board on the side of the wall of the machine. Check carefully for dry or burned tracks on the board. they either use a relay or possibly a triac etc, Current is fairly high and any bad soldering can create a dry joint. Look for any loose connections leading from the motor to the board. Check the tachometer which normally connects at the bottom end of the motor.Sometimes the magnet comes loose and gives an incorrect signal to the controller. let me know.

Sounds like you have a blockage in the filter or the motor brushes have worn down.
