Hi,
if the base unit is not charging phone, did you test it with another phone to confirm if the base unit is working?
if after doing this and the base unit is working confirm if the d.c. power is okay, because if the current is low, the base unit will not charge the phone.
if after doing all these and the phone is still not charging, then, your charging port is bad.
you have to replace the charging port with a good one.
the charging port is the place where the base unit will enter.
i hope i have answered your question correctly?
thanks for using fixya

Why did my Panasonic phone quit charging in base unit?

Check the condition of the charge contact tips in the phone cradle, there are uaually two or three spring loaded pins that contact the phone charge contacts. Make sure these are clean and the springs still work. If these are good, you can check the output of the charger with a volt meter at the spring loaded pins, you can get the correct voltage off of one of the satellite units and compare it to the base. If the base is not putting out the same voltage the charger has likely failed.

The base unit for my Philips VOIP3212S is not charging the phone I need to buy a replacement base unit. I put ordinary batteries in the phone and the base unit no longer works

Wilson - The phone was not made to use regular (AAA) batteries. Unless you install AAA NIMH rechargeables it will not work. Regular AAA batteries cannot be charged by the base unit.
In case you meant AAA NIMH batteries as "ordinary batteries" then your charger may be the problem, but I wouldn't assume that until I've taken a pencil eraser and vigorously cleaned the base contacts and tried the base again (with the right batteries.)
Good Luck, Mikeywaf

Don't I have to connect the phone to a telephone line? I don't see where i can place a phone wire in the phone. Also, I have the handset in the base but it doesn't say that it is registering. It keeps...

Often the line cord connection is on the back of the base unit or underneath, usually near where the AC cord plugs into the base unit that powers it. The handset needs to charge before it will be ready to use, sometimes for 12 hours. If after charging, it still is not registered automatically then try manually registering it to the base unit per the directions in the manual.

I have put new batteries in my diverse 4016 phone on the base but it will not charge.can you please sugest what the problem maybe' thanking vou ...

It looks that the handset is not charging from the base unit: if you have a multimeter you can check that you have a voltage slightly higher than your battery pack voltage on the base unit. Make sure the contacts are clean and If you have no reading, then the charger on the base unit is very likely defective.
If you do not have a multimeter, check and clean the (two) contacts on your handset and base unit to ensure proper electrical contact and that you see the charging indicator displayed on both the base and the handset.
If that does not work, to assess if the issue is with the handset, swap the phones from the base and the stand-alone charging station and repeat the test: if it works, swap the batteries between the handset to see if it makes any difference. If it works, then the issue might be with the original base unit handset as you have now 'tested' the new battery on the alternative handset. To summarize, it is a test by trial and error swapping.
Hope the information is of assistance.

Charging problem

The fact that one charges on all 3 base units rules out any problem on the base units. Sounds like the batteries on the 2 faulty handsets need to be replaced. I suggest you return it to the store, and get yuh money back, or replacement

Base does not charge handset

If all 3 handsets fail to charge on the base unit that leads one to the conclusion that the charger with-in the base unit has gone bad and I really don't know of any fix. Thank You. Jerry
