Where do you hook the super woofer A525 to on a Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop

Might be the video chip on motherboard. None problem with laptops due to heat.

Unistall and reinstall the cd drive then go to this website http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060

go and click on the Fix It icon with the little guy holding the wrench

The hard disk is dead, it must be replaced and Windows reinstalled .

open bottom of laptop where ram and cpu is located usully in middle 2/3 screws there should be a slot arouns an inch long on board that this slots into however does your laptop have the wireless cables that run from motherboard to hinges that hold screen in place usually black1 and grey 1 which are main and aux grey is usually main

Be sure to remove AC power and the Battery.

Did you accidentally buy a SATA notebook drive?

If so, this will not work in your notebook, it used IDE drives.
