Did the device came with a CD? If yes, install the driver from the CD to your computer, so that way the MP4 will be recognize by the PC.
Once you see the MP4 showing on your PC, right click on your mouse and go to format. On file format you should you should see FAT or FAT 32, try FAT32.
Good Luck.

I burn a dvd from an iso using 2 different computers but they won't play on standard dvd players. only on computer or a portable player

'Standard' DVD players will not play computer video formats such as .AVI or .DIVX or .WMV or .MP4 whereas the 'generic' and cheaper (chinese) Players will support them (they will state that they support MPEG, DIVX and MPEG 3 & 4 formats).
Unless your ISO results in a properly DVD formatted media (with multiple files and file types including .DAT), it simply will not work.
Note that many 'standard' (and branded) DVD players will not support many rewritable CD or DVD.
Hope my information will help you assess your problem

Put songs on it

Hi!

Please install the driver for your mp3/mp4 player. If you have the disc that came with it, thta's great!

...But if not, try to look for the drivers like in sites such as driverguide.com

You also need to double check your device manager and see if all devices drivers are installed properly.

There could be some controllers causing the player not to be recognized.

Thanks.

You'll need to open up your player to find the plate and board ID numbers to be able to find a compatible firmware for your player. Take a look at this post here: http://mympx.org/forum/knowledge-base-faq/41330-how-recover-dead-mp3-mp4-player.html. This will tell you how to recover your dead player using your firmware.

Hope that helps.

Lost download disc

I couldn't find any software that could make your mp4 works, but if you have windows XP you don't need to have a Cd.
The computer by itself recognize it.
Also if you have the cable just plug it in the new computer and he will recognize it if it is windows XP. but if you have Windows Vista you will have to buy the Disc.
I hope my answer helped you .. Thank you
