Try downloading a generic driver for the memory stick pro.

Did you get a device driver CD along wit the MP4 player? If yes, then install the software before inserting the mp4 player to your computer.

My 8g mp4 player wont turn on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all. to be very frank i should tell you some points

1. never buy an MP4 player( the format is not even MP4 in the player)
if you did
2. never format it,(ever)......(as long as possible)
3. if you get less space, there is a problem with the chip, which can only be solved by the Chinese who made it.
4. as long as possible never try to upgrade firmware, (the tool they gives is almost useless)
5. if up gradation is required check ur board number,(by unscrewing the player)
6. check s1mp3.org for the firmware
7. and please check the board number
these are the words of wisdom from a victim like you all, from the Chinese attack of mp4 player
one more thing
8. ask ur friend to buy an ipod, instead of going for cheap stuff
guys the memory problem is almost unsolvable.....i guess all gets the message ....take care

Hi Im after a copy of the user manual for

It sounds like you bought a Chinese "clone" of an iPod. It's unlikely you'll be able to find a copy of the manual online, though if you can tell us anything more about the player, like the manufacturer name, it's possible.

Wrong firmware added in mp4 player.....

You'll need to open up your player to find the plate and board ID numbers to be able to find a compatible firmware for your player. Take a look at this post here: http://mympx.org/forum/knowledge-base-faq/41330-how-recover-dead-mp3-mp4-player.html. This will tell you how to recover your dead player using your firmware.

Hope that helps.

Lost download disc

I couldn't find any software that could make your mp4 works, but if you have windows XP you don't need to have a Cd.
The computer by itself recognize it.
Also if you have the cable just plug it in the new computer and he will recognize it if it is windows XP. but if you have Windows Vista you will have to buy the Disc.
I hope my answer helped you .. Thank you
