Monday through Friday look at the LED on the rear of the motor unit. If it is flashing rapidly you have radio interference. See if you can locate the source. It will be something electrical - maybe a military base if nearby.

We installed the opener and everything works as it should but every morning we find the door open. Then in the afternoon it usually closes itself.

i would look for a shorted out wire to the wall button. maybe a staple thru the wires shorting it out. cold night and warm days expand/contract wires and staples and make a connection.

Remote and garage door opener not communicating. It worked fine on Friday morning but by Friday afternoon it wouldn't work. The keyless entry had to be programmed and now that's how we're...

You may need to replace the battery in the remote control. Most usually these will be double A ones. You may have to reprogram it when you try it again. You should be able to get the information on Google by typing in the make of the inside unit in your garage. Your remote may have this info on it as well. You should be able to pull up instruction on how to reprogram your unit.

Garage remotes and keypad don't work in the morning!

Something in the receiver portion of the logic board has become sensitive to cold. This is not uncommon in electronics. The sensors are working as they should and the wall control is hardwired and doesn't use the receiver. A new logic board is the repair. The lights are normally a simple repair. Unplug the unit and pull out on the center contact of the light sockets.

Garage Door Remote Openers Stopped Working Suddenly

Check the wall control. If the small green light is blinking press and hold the button with the lock icon for 3 seconds.

Remote only closes the garage door, will not open it

Anytime a door opens and/or closes randomly or doesn’t work consistently I look for a smashed wire between the motor unit and the wall button.

If the wire is smashed the insulation becomes so thin that power will leak thru the insulation and activate the door or interfere with the remote signal.

Loosen the staples with a small screwdriver and slide the wire about ½ inch to move any areas of thin insulation away from the staples.

The second thing would be a bad wall button or a remote with a sticking button.
Or a remote in someone’s purse that gets the button pushed by other stuff in the purse.

The test is to disconnect the push button wires at the power unit. If the self operation / interference stops you have located the problem. If you reconnect the wires and disconnect the wire at the wall button this will tell you if the problem is the wire or the button.

In your case the expansion of the wall in the afternoon may be enough to cause pressure on the wire to increase the problem – works in the morning but not the afternoon.

Also after you change the batteries you need to reprogram the remotes.
