I am using asus M2N MX SE series Motherboard now purchase new Creative 5.1 speaker its working fine in window XP but in window 7 only two speaker working please suggest what can i do?
Yester day also post this problem but no one can solve this issue please help
1) Right click the volume icon located in your bottom right hand corner of your screen.
2) Click "Sounds"
3) Highlight your default speaker device
4) Click "Configure"
From there, you should be able to select what kind of sound system you have installed on your laptop or PC (ie 5.1, 7.1 etc.)
Click "Apply" to save system changes.
If that doesn't correct the problem, check to see if your sound card is supported or is compatible with Windows 7

You can call Asus and buy a new CD at 1-812-282-2787 US.
Or you can download the drivers directly from Asus and burn the drivers to CD/DVD-ROM disk. Link to Asus motherboard M2M-MX SE;

First check the sound settings, if you are using additional sound controller, you have to set it appropriately. This is not related to windows 7 or windows xp, it's the problem with your sound settings or the audio ports. Is the same Windows installed on a Pc (dual boot)? If not, please clarify the question so that we can help you better.
good luck, thanks for using FixYa.
