My screen has gone blank. It fell on the floor a few days ago, but only this morning it began to go "funny" and now it is completely blank (black). Any ideas how to fix it please?

Have you tried starting from the system disks that came with the computer? Put the disk into the computer and start up holding the C key down. And troubleshoot form there.

Apparently, Some water worked its way into the camera circuitry. You need to stop trying to get it to work...you're only making things worse. Remove the card and battery. Bury the camera in a bowl of dry rice for a few days to absorb any moisture.

My screen began to take longer and longer to come on in the morning, up to 5 minutes. Then throught the day if my computer went on standby power, it would take 2-3 minutes to come back up..(and both ways...

Black screen fell into water and not working

you can take the battery and the back off the device and place in completely submerged in a bag of white rice and leave it in there for 1 to 2 days this will help absorb the moisture, this should fix it if the water did not damage the circut boards if the water damaged the circut boards then the device is fried

Bad sign... when the CP turns black, the CPU IC maybe damaged... an expert cellphone technician may fix it but it have a 50-50 chance or best to buy a new CP... sorry for your broken CP... but still hope that it can be fix or if you can afford a new one...
