I am having an on and off again problem with "no sound" just a picture on my Soney HDTV Model # KDL-46S2000. I have Verizon Fios and they have been out several times to try and fix the problem by changing the HD Box and cables. It works for awhile and then "no sound" again. They were just here two days ago and the sound went off again.

When the sound goes out again ..try connecting a dvd with the same wires and input ...this will let you know if it is a tv problem ...and if it doesnt go out ...when you do this .. verizon need to check the sunrise readings to your set top box

could be blown caps on your power board. if you dont know what they are i dont recommend doing the work yourself. take it to a repair shop. if you feel comfortable taking it apart you can check and see if any are buldged on your power board.

Screen picture constantly goes black then comes back every 3 seconds. Sound stays. Television is 3 years old. Not sure if this is the model.
It is happening because of weak lamp that is near to end of working life.
Replace lamp in tv to fix its issue. Lamp replacement procedure is easy and would be written in user manual copy.

Sound but no picture
LCD inverter backlight board is dead.Replaced this board will get ur tv picture back.Tries Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish LCD inverter backlight board for the replacement.It a long board in shape.

it sounds like your back light might be going out. You might be able to fix this by installing a new backlight inverter board.

How do you plug the cable to bravio soney TV --it is a verizon cable box Thanks
Get a an Hdmi cable if you don't already have one. and plung into the back of the TV where it is label hdmi.

I have purchased KLV-40W400A Full HD but I am not satisfied with the picture quality. When the issue was raised sony is putting blame on Tata Sky and vise versa.
