I have a Hoover Steam Vacuum, All Terrain, and the bristle brushes are not rotating. They appear to be seated properly and, the entire vacuum is clean and free of lint, hair etc., so everything is working properly except the brushes do not rotate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I checked the owner's manual and the parts breakdown for your model F5807. Both showed that your model has a stationary brush strip and not rotating brushes. Is F5807 the correct model number?

Hoover F5915-900 brushes will not rotate

The motor rotates the bar. My guess would be that the rubber belt that goes from the motor to the belt has fallen off the bar , broke, or the bar is not seated properly. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

How to disassemble the hoover steam vac2. the hole that the brushes snap into does not rotate so the brushes are not rotating

The hole the brush shaft goes into is the turbine that turns it. If it will not turn it is seized and should be replaced.

Hoover terrain steam cleaner, brushes wont spin

The primary problem is that the turbine is seized. One way to verify this is to try to manually move the brushes by hand (with it off, unplugged). If not then your problem is with the turbine. This usually requires professional service. I would recommend to take it to a trusted vac shop which is familiar with these cleaners. or go to the hoover web site to locate a hoover dealer near you.

All terrain steam vac

Try and trace the hose back from the brushes to the pump. The hose could either be disconnected, kinked, or clogged.

brushes do not rotate on Hoover steam-vac upright

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
This also happened to my own Hoover Steam Vac and there was a broken part that connected to the brush assm that I had to replace, it has been a while but once they replaced the part everything worked just fine and it was not that expensive and I am still using the vacuum still to date and it is working just fine. I believe it was something like the switch for the brushes on/off switch or the part was part of the handle assm. Check you owner’s manual for the exploded view on the vacuum or also check with your local vac dealer. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
