Nortel t7208 we have recently started using the nortel t7208 phone system at my work. came in yesterday and opened voicemail from my extension (35) checked messages and then hit release. ever since line one is showing as "in use :35" How can correct this problem myself and regain use of line 1. please reconnect me at [email protected] Thank you for any assistance you may be able to provide me in this matter.
It seems like your system does not have disconnect supervision. set it to yes under trunk line data. that way the system knows when a call is released.

Feature 983 log in is 120000 (if 2 digit extension, 1020000 if 3 digit, 10020000 if 4 digit extensions) Select Mbox, enter that locked extensions mail box number, You will see password RESET. Select RESET. Release out. This will reset that mail box password to 0000. Use feature 981 on that phone and enter the new default password of 0000. you will then be prompted to change the password. Feature 985 will show you the extension of the phone you are using.
If you have an in-house administrator, they can log in and reset it. You might try 0000 and 1234 just in case, otherwise you will have to call whatever tech help you have and get them to reset it.
Generally, you dial feature 981 to get in, then extension number and password. If you have no new messages it will say that, then give you the option to review old messages. To delete a message you press 76. If that doesn't work, login to your mailbox, press 8* then 6 to get to "go to message" then press the message number and #. If you have an on-site administrator, they can delete your mailbox as well, otherwise you will have to call your tech help service and have them erase it remotely.

-> then your passcode, if you never set up the voicemail, the temporary password is 0 0 0 0 (four - zero's).
-> if this is a new installed voicemail, the telephone system will tell you al that you need to initiate the voicemail box.
first off the T7208 is the phone model and need the ksu model number to know what system you are in. But you can always call that extension and if not in office it should go straight to voice mail (if any) then leave mssge to call back
