I have a Nortell Meridian with 7324 phones and in one part of the office there are three Receptionists covering multiple CEOs phones so if a call comes in on one of the phones DIDs it rings all three Reception phone. The way I set it up was by putting the CEOs DIDs on the receptionists phones and I have them answering DNs. The problem came when they hired a new CEO and I had to put her DID on the Receptionists phones they only had room for 1 DID and I could not put an Answer DNs on the phones that is not the problem. The problem is as soon as I put the DIDs on the covering phones when a call came in and nobody picks up the call the call goes to one of the covering phone VMs and if I take that phone off it goes to one of the other covering phones VM. If there are no phones covering when calls come in they go into the CEOs VM with no problem. I need to have these covering phone have this DID on them but I cannot have these VM problems what am I doing wrong or how can I fix this VM problem.

This is not a basic feature problem this is a system programing problem

  • Anonymous May 04, 2010

Number one this phone system is not a gadget and number two reseting this system back to factory would cost my company thousands of dollars.

  • Anonymous May 04, 2010

Your in the right ball park of an answer but I don't think it has anything to do with ISDN programing, I think it is a system programing issue. I think I just need to strip all of the DIDs off of the covering phones and reprogram the DIDs on the phones. How does that sound?

I set up the prime lines correctly but did not think of changing the rings thanks for your help.

You could either shorten the rings to 3 for call forward no answer on the CEO's phone or have the receptionist's cfna lenghtened to 6 rings.Depending on how the initial programming was set up you might also check the prime set assignment for the CEO's line to see if its set for her DN.

I have M 7324 phone and how we can turn off paging on one phone

Do Not Disturb will do it temporarily, otherwise you have to go into system programming, (via Ftr**CONFIG"), "Terminals and Sets", select that set, then "Capabilities", then go to "Paging Zones" and change to none. If this doesn't make any sense to you, you should ask your System Administrator.

Installed this NT9K08AD03 where a NT8B30AD03 was and the new phone does not work. Meridian Compact ICS 2.0

The M2008 set (NT9K08AD03) doesn't work on a CICS system. It works with the Meridian PBX systems. The type of sets that work with a Compact ICS system are M 7100, 7208, 7310, 7324 and T 7100, 7208, 7316, 7316e as well as some of thier cordless sets.

Norstar 7324 time change

Programming should be done from the M7310, M7324 or the T7316E set. Administration access code: Feature * * 266344 which also is Feature * * config.
If asked for a password enter 23646.

When in programming2.gif just press the next button(lower right arrow) until you see what you want to change. Then press show ( top right arrow) ,then change if you want to change it. If you pass it, just press back (lower left)
Example: To change the Time & Date Press next until you see Time & Date. Then show Then change Then change again, change it if you need to, Then next again until you see what you need to change. For example; only the hour needs to be changed for day light savings time. Just press next until you come to the Hour. Then Change it. Then press release RLs when your done.

Inherited a NT5B05 3x8 with my house and I'm flumoxed...

By the year 2012 or 2013 it's not likely you will pay $20-30 for an additional land line instead of $10 for a cell phone :-)

The cabinet is a Digital Compact 308 for 3 outside lines and 8 digital extensions without caller ID. The system uses M7208/7310 and possibly 7324 phones. If you fetch $100 for it on eBay, I'd be amazed. Here's a stolen link to someone who has a description of one.

How to setup caller id?

Have your tech look again. A keyword search of CALLER ID in the pdf should explain it all, especially page 158 of a 6.1 CICS manual.

You need 2 things to make it work. One is that your phone has to be ringing. Two is that Under Telco Features in programming for your set is a CALLER ID set which is No by default.

Of course, FEAT 811/812 will work after the fact.

Meridan 7208 help please

Dear sheryl498,

Your phone is designed for a PBX (Private Branch Exchange) unit like the Compact ICS or the 6x16 TCU that was at the office. It is not compatible with regular POTS lines or standard home lines.
