Belkin Wireless router problem?

I have a Belkin Wireless router and had excellent internet access on my laptop last night until I suddenly didn't even though the lights on my modem and router are all green -- my laptop says it's connected but is just continuously trying to identify the connection -- I have tried all of the diagnostics and repairs offered by my Dell laptop and have restarted my modem and move the router all with no success. Is this a problem with my Wireless Card? What do you recommend?

Hello
Sounds like you took all the right steps. In add and remove programs at the control panel, remove your wireless card drivers and anything related to it.
Be sure to write down your wep security key from your router first.

Then remove the card, reboot, put the card back in,then reinstall the drivers.

If this does not work the wireless card may be bad.

Hope this helps.

To reset the Belkin back to the default settings -
Press and hold the pinhole RESET button at the back of the router and then power for at least 15 secs. Then release the RESET button.
Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open a browser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin's configuration URL. http://192.168.2.1
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password.
You can now configure the wireless settings to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access. Have wireless signal but no IP

Starting from the obvious, check that the cables are installed correctly.
You have to have a cable that brings the internet to your place.
Connect that cable into the router's jack labeled Connection to Modem.
Then get another network cable and plug it into any other jack form the back of your wireless router, and the other end into your laptop, just to make sure you are getting connected.
Once you are sure you can surf the net, unplug the wire from your laptop, and you should be able to surf wirelessly.

And if you still can't connect, let me know to perform additional steps.

Please don;t forget to rate this answer if helps.

Belkin Mimo Router

If you're connected to the router with excellent stregth then the problem most likly lies in the routers connection to the internet. Check your DSL, Cable modem and make sure the connection to the "Internet" port on your router is good. Try switching out the Ethernet cable if nessciary.
