When on your xbox go to settings--------display-------------and in their check different settings until it looks ok now if the colour is wrong you might want to try changing your tv settings like gamma brightness etc... by going into menu on your tv best bet would be click menu on the remote

My xbox 360 will not produce picture on the T.V.

I believe your xbox may be heading towards the RROD
(Red Ring of Death) it is due to the graphics card overheating and has now failed but it hasnt caused a total hardware failure which is why you are still getting sound! their are fixes on ebay if you look for RROD repair kits you will come across quite a few, make sure it has a guide, if you are confident you should have no problems, what you will need is T10 and T8 screwdrivers, sellotape, wd40 and a repair kit with thermal paste and about 1 to 2 hrs of spare time.
Hope this helps

I dont get a picture on my tv when i turn my xbox

This is because the scaler chip on the back of the Xbox 360 motherboard is overheating, it deals with all the display.

You can actually fix it yourself by stopping the heat build up or you can send it in to Microsoft

My xbox 360 elite video port went out on my previous xbox, and on the one i just got. it could be your video port on your xbox or it could be the your tv. Hdmi cords usually dont go out so i dont think it could be that. A way to check if its you xbox would be to try the regular cords that you get with your xbox on the same tv and see if it works. If it doesnt, try the same thing on a different tv. if it doesnt work on that tv either then its your xbox. if it does work, then it must be the other tv.

Xbox 360 no picture

Try looking on your AV Cable there is a setting for HDTV and TV if you have a High Definition tv use that setting but by the sounds of your issue i would say you dont and would go with the regular TV setting. Its right on the neck of the AV cable where it plugs into the game console. Let me know if this works for you.

Screen blank

use the towell trick! Wrap the 360 in 2 towells turn on and leave running for 15 minutes. It gets very hot but after the 15 minutes turn off the console and power it back on again and it should work. Dont know if this is a permanent fix but my 360 hasnt broken again so far. Dont ask me how but it works, google it if you like. It also cures the 3 red lights problem.
