The satelite dish will not pass-through the video/audio from your DVD player. You will need to find an open area (preferably DVD selector) on your receiver to input the DVD video/audio. Most satelite boxes are one way devices.

Satelite box --> Receiver (satelite input)--> TV
DVD Player --> Receiver (DVD Player input) --> TV

or

Satelite box --> TV
DVD Player --> TV

When I hook my dish up to the satelite connection on the outside. I don't get any signal on the inside

Are you connection to the satellite input on the outside of the coach or the park cable input? If you are connecting to the park cable input it will not work since that wire is connected to a booster/splitter. Try running the wire through the window directly from the dish to the receiver. If that works then you need to install a dedicated satellite connection from the outside to the inside or purchase a flatwire to run through the window. If it does not work then the issue is in your satellite settings.

My sanyo modle DS20424 has sound but not picture. We have DISH and their info shows up on the tv when the satelite is on, just no picture. Help??

I would first see if set works with a DVD etc directly hooked to one of the rear audio/video inputs.

If so I would next unplug the dish box and wait and then power it up again to see if it will reboot and cure this issue--you can also contact them....

If getting the on screen Menu but nothing else it is either a signal issue or a problem in the set---If using a receiver also reboot it as well.

How do you tune in tv channels when you only have a signal input from a satelite dish and no sky decoder. TV is a sharp lc-32l400x with built in freeview. Can we plug dish straight into TV aerial port...

You require a satelite decoder/receiver for your dish and an aerial for your TV.
The choice is yours. Plug a satelite receiver, for freesat, into the A/V input on the TV or have an aerial installed for freeview.

I have two vip 622 in my house and with one i can watch hd channels on both tv 1 and 2 but on my newest one i can only watch hd channels on tv1 and on tv 2 it says looking for satelite both have identical...

You may have a bad port on the back of the receiver, a cut or disconnected wire somewhere on that side of the system or a bad diplexer if the system is not straight wired to TV2.
The easiest way to verify whether the port on the receiver is bad is to connect that line directly to TV 1 off the back of the receiver. Remember to place TV one on the CHANNEL TO CHECK IF IT IS GOOD. If you have picture then you have a bad diplexer.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Does not pick up cable satellite signal

Do you have the satelite hooked threu the regular cable input? If so hook it thru one of the video inputs instead; composite video or component video. the picture and sound will be better and you will be by-passing the problem area of your Tv ( the tuner).
