This worked fine last year transferring original music from cassettes. Now when I plugged it in to load more cassettes of original music onto my computer a small screen said it loaded fine and was ready to use, but there's no screen to wrok from. This is a new computer & I wonder do I need to load some software? I don't remember if it had come with a CD to load a screen.

If the belt is fine then the pinch roller must work to pull the tape with the capstan working.
so please open set and get glimpse to see if the pinch roller is engaging. If not the loading mechanism is not working. you will need to see if the reel drive is also working. So unless the mechansim is checked there is no question of the sound coming out.
So see that the loading engages the pinch roller to pull tape and the reel drive to gather the winding, if not reset loadding mechanism .
However if the tape moves and there is no sound then the head preamp, the tone amp or the output amp can be faulty. You can use a signal test to confirm the section.

Are you transfering from one disk to another on your computer? There is a possibility that the format of the original disk is not being recognized.

you might have selected to only listen the songs 'introduction' in the settings option while playing a song

there are programs on the net that will copy from tape to cd via the computer if you have a cd writer on the pc hope this helps regards Jim

While the preferred method to load music onto an MP3 player may differ from model to model, most MP3 players will feature the ability to upload music using a "drag-and-drop" method.

Normally, this can be done by opening the folders that contain your music library and accessing the MP3 player's hard drive by navigating through the "My Computer" option:

My Computer > Removable Devices

Simply click on the files that you want to transfer to your MP3 player, drag them over to the icon that represents the player itself, and drop them into that folder.

Again, please keep in mind that this method will not work with every MP3 player available - some players require special software that must be downloaded or installed onto your computer from a CD that was included in the original factory packaging.

mp3 has emptied its files but the memory is still half full

use a cassette adapter. put the adapter in your car's cassette player and plug the wire into you garmin. when a command is made, it will play through your car's stereo, provided it is on the cassette mode. also, using the cassette adapter, you can play music from your nuvi if you have music loaded onto a sd card and placed in the nuvi's sd slot. the nuvi will interupt the music to give directions, then go back to playing music.

Go to Sony site and download the driver for your phone

Remove data cable from usb and put it into a different one
Step 2
Connect your phone to the computer with the cable and turn it on.
You might see "Found New Hardware" wizard. DON'T let Windows search for the driver; point it to the driver you just downloaded, and install the drive on your computer.
After the driver as installed you should be working 100%
