The Samsung 730BF is not HDCP compliant. This is a requirement for HDMI playback for consoles and DVD players etc. - most newer monitors with DVI connectors are also HDCP compliant.
I solve it already my problem by connecting my ps3 to an 32 inches lcdtv and I change the videosetting to my ps3 to default setting because before when I had my sony bravia 32 inches I changed it to 1080p via HDMI cable signal...After I changed to default settings I connected it again to my own LG lcdtv 19 inches but it sadly 1080p is not so very much supported but anyway I can play now ps3 games...
I assume you mean video input. It should have both a DVI and VGA input on the back. looking up from underneath it is easily visible. I do not think it has HDMI, so if you're looking for HDMI input, you won't find it, get an adapter.
I don't think there is a way to set your resolution manually, bro. They do it all by auto. If I may make a suggestion... Turn off both the TV & PS3. Unplug your HDMI, then make sure both your TV & PS3 are turned ON. Now re-connect your HDMI. A TV tech once told me that these units "communicate" through the HDMI. This can only occure whilst they're up & running. This may help get you going on to 1080i.
p.s. PS3 games only output 720p, max! This isn't always the case for Blu Ray movies, but it is for games. Good luck!
what Frequency is the monitor set to run at ? u will get that mesg whan the monitor is receiving a signal that is greater than what it can handle say ur monitor can take 1024x768@60hz from ur PC and maybee ur PS3 is sending 720x720@100hz so ur monitor can handle the resolution but not the refresh rate that would be why u get that message
in some cases certain manufacturers say in the instructions that when using s video with seperate audio, you cannot use the HDMI for the sound and sometimes visa versa, it's just the way the output is set up.
Remove the other sound cable you are using for pc or tv and just use HDMI to confirm that the sound is re-enabled on the HDMI
