All I can say is, get used to it. Customer support will be of no help, at all. They;ll advise you to reformat, whcih will delete everything and does nto solve the problem. Then they will tell you to check your compatibility settings, which doesn't solve anything. I have this recorder, actually two of them and my brother in law has one. Two of them work fine, the toher does not. Sometimes it worls sometimes it doesn't. I wrote to support and told them I had reformatted numerous times without it helping. Guess what they said when they wrote back? They gave me instructions on how to reformat. They said I should backup my files so i would nto lsoe them. Well, I can't back them up if I can't get them off the recorder....I've ran into numerous people with the same problems and the same stories abotu customer support. SOme of the complaints date back over a year.

Device media is write protected

To disable writing access to USB drives and make all USB drives has only read-only access, follow these steps:
  1. Run Registry Editor (regedit).
  2. Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
  3. Create a New Key named as StorageDevicePolicies.
  4. Highlight StorageDevicePolicies, and then create a New DWORD (32-bit) Value named as WriteProtect.
  5. Double click on WriteProtect, and set its value data to 1. write-protect-usb.jpg
Once set, all users on the computer is now blocked and prevented from copying, transferring or writing any files, documents and data to the USB disk drives, without the need to restart or reboot computer. Any attempt to download or copy files to USB drive will return the following error message:
The disk is write protected.
The media is write-protected.
Remove the write protection or use another disk.
usb-removable-disk-write-protected.jpg To revert and remove the blocked write access to USB drivers, just delete the StorageDevicePolicies registry key, or delete the WriteProtect registry entry, or change the value data for WriteProtect to 0.
For user who doesn't want to manually editing the registry, simply download the following registry registration files to enable or disable the write protection (block writing attempt) to USB removable drive. Double click the .reg file unpacked from the .zip archive to merge the registry key entries.
Download DisableWriteToUSB.reg
Download EnableWriteToUSB.reg
The trick works in Windows XP SP2 and SP3, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 and 2008.

A message appearing"you may be

Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications for Windows XP notifies you if a copy of Windows XP is not genuine. The notification messages only appear on computers that have failed the WGA validation process and that are running a copy of Windows XP that is not genuine. If you are running a validated, genuine copy of Windows XP, you will not receive notification messages.
Removing WGA Via The Command Line Restart your PC and boot into Safe Mode, usually by pressing F8 whilst your computer boots. Once your PC has booted open a command prompt by clicking Start then Run and typing cmd into the box before clicking OK.
Change directory to your System32 folder with the following command:
cd \windows\system32
Next you're going to need to copy the following lines to the clipboard, in order to paste them into the command prompt quickly. This is necessary to kill the WgaTray.exe process and delete the file before Windows has a chance to launch it again:
taskkill -IM wgatray.exe
del wgatray.exe
del wgalogon.old
If all the commands executed correctly you should have killed and deleted WgaTray.exe as well as WgaLogon.dll. You might also want to have a look for any WGA-related files (WgaTray.exe, WgaLogon.dll, WgaSetup.exe etc...) in \Windows\System32\dllcache and delete them, just in case.
Restart your PC to see if the changes have taken effect, if the WGA notifications are still there then you'll want to continue reading this next bit, otherwise you're done.

I cant save my messages to my memory card

Hi,

In nokia 3230 you cannot save the messages to memory card. You dont have option in this mobile itself.

Dont worry, please download MSV driveE software in your mobile phone so that messages can been directly saved in MMC.

Download the MSV software from below website

http://www.ziddu.com/download/8277766/MsvDriveE.jpg.html

After you downloaded it, you’ll find that you save file named MsvDriveE.jpg. Don’t worry! You just downloaded the right file. Rename the extention *.jpg, and change it to *.sis. Then you’ll get MsvDriveE.sis then install it to your phones.

But in this feature it just saves the incoming messages to the memory card instead of saving it to phone memory to keep the phone memory unused. But you cannot read your messages.

To read your saved messages in PC please install a software called as FE explorer.

You can download FE explorer from below website

http://gallery.mobile9.com/f/1210278/

Using this FE explorer you can copy the messages in your inbox and you can paste in any of the folder in memory card. Then you can open the messages in your computer using Note Pad and read the messages.

To copy please follow the below steps,

1.Select inbox from the main page in FE explorer.
It shows the messages in Your inbox, sent item, saved messages also.

2.Copy it and Paste where ever you want to copy in E:/ drive(Memory card)

3.Then you can put your memory card in your PC and can open up the messages in Note Padfd6f18b.jpg Thank you

Files disappeared from maxtor one touch iii mini

Alrighty, I finally found the handy file undelete utility which I have successfully used in the past to undelete files on flash cards. The file is Restoration.exe, and it doesn't use an installer. Thus it is a completely stand-alone program. The author of this program says that it is compatible with all Windows OS through XP. It probably will work with Vista too. The program also is compatible with NTFS as well as FAT32 file systems. Here is a link to CNET.com where you can download it and then use it to try to recover the deleted files on your flash card:

Restoration

Once you have recovered the files on your flash card, copy and paste them to your hard disk. I never do cut and pastes from flash cards for fear of accidentally losing files. Copy and paste, and once you have verified that the files were successfully copied to your hard disk, then delete the files on your flash card if that is your preferred method. Yet I prefer to put the flash card back in my camera and then do a quick format of the card in order to delete all files on the flash card.

Anyway, hopefully this restoration utility will allow you to get those deleted images back. :-)

RCA Digital Voice Manager software for RP5120 "warning decoding"

Bad News... I spoke to AudioVox/RCA (800-894-0956 < Direct DVR Number) and they told me that once you get this notification of a bad file format, there is NOTHING that can be done.

I tried DOS, too. Nothing worked.

The only thing left to try is connecting the recorder to the computer via a cable from the line out of the DVR to the line in of the audio card, and record from there. I'm going to try this, then return the recorder, if possible. Mind you, I've gone through several of these recorders and all of them have had this problem... eventually.

The customer service person there at AudioVox/RCA was direct, helpful, but clear that I couldn't do anything but reformat the recorder. Though she didn't really seem to care, by her tone, one way or another. They were still reproducing this product even with the flaws that exist (they certainly did not take ownership of the problem... they said it was out of their control and the problem was just like a virus).

u will have to either delete some unwanted files from your C-DRIVE.and empty the space to get the printer loaded.or if all the files r important and u dont want to delete them.then just copy  and paste that files to D-DRIVE.so the space will be automatically created on the C-DRIVE then you load the printer and it will work properly.

Framesize is negative value

Here is something that has worked for me when nothing else would.

In Win XP, right click on the drive letter for the RCA DVR and select properties, tools, error checking. Click the "Check Now" button. Check both the "Automatically fix file system errors" and the "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" boxes. Then Start.

Usually, my file is repaired completely with no losses, but once in a while I end up losing segments of the audio. But having some is better than none.

Lastly, when I run into a problem like this, I always make it a point to reformat the drive after I salvage the files. If you don't, more files will get trashed in the future.

I hope this helps someone. Pass it on or post/link it to other sites.
