First you need to format the drive in either Fat32, ExFat, then check if its working, if it doesn't work
Try to check the partition if its actually useable, what format its in and then drive your PD in that format, otherwise
Get this drive
Kingston Data Traveler 16GB SE9 Pen Drive Data Drives
or read reviews for PD in india on - Shop Data Drives , you can find drives compatible to linux

Hi, I have two pen drive of transcend one 4 GB JF V10 , another 4 GB JF V60. These are not detected by computer.

These drives should not require drivers for WINXP or WIN7. Make sure your USB port is working by trying a known good pen drive, and see if it is detected.

If you are using WIN98, they may require a driver, even though the transcend website says that they do not.

Try rebooting your PC and insert your pendrive as soon as startup is completed.

For additional help, go to the transcend website:
http://www.transcendusa.com/Support/DLCenter/index.asp?LangNo=0&ItemID=TS4GJFV10&axn=SRH1_RLT&DLKeyWd=JFV10

and on the bottom of the page is a drive recovery tool that you can install and try. Please be advised that the recovery tool WILL erase anything on your drive!

Finally, if you have used your drives for copying files from a different operating system (MAC or a different version of Windows), its format may not be compatible with your PC.
