Hi, Removing the back of cell phones can be very difficult...you have to push down and out very hard at the same time...sometimes a sharp knife stuck in between the removable part of the phone will help...
If all else fails, find a teenager and they will pop it right off for you...
But seriously... they are very hard to remove and often you are afraid of breaking it by the time it does come loose...
You may need to activate your sim card (If never used or hasnt been topped up for a long time your network will disable the sim.
Contact your service providor and give them the long number printed on the sim card itself and ask them to activate (reactivate) the sim card.
You may aslo try removing the sim from your phone and gently rubbing the sims chip with a dry dust free cloth and the same to the sims connector inside the phone (if reachable)
