Dryer will not start cycle

When turning on the dryer, the 'Sensing' light comes on but the dryer will not start the cycle. I have unplugged the dryer but this did nothing.

Hi-- none of the solutions I've read here are working. Same problem, dryer not starting, it says "Sensing..." and then "Wet" and does nothing. It worked fine on the last load, except I noticed it read 11 minutes for a very, very long time (I think it got stuck). New load? "Sensing..." etc.

Dryer won't start. Lights on panel come on and everything seems ok until you hold the start button. You then hear a click and the sensing light comes on but the dryer does not start.

Dryer wont start

Commonproblems...blown house fuse, broken belt ( on some models )...door switch...*thermal fuse open (venting needs attention )...broken or burnt wire....timer....motor, in order from mostcommon to least common. * If you find a blown thermal fuse, always clean, change, adjust the ventingsystem and vent hood first, then it is often a good idea to replace the operatingthermostat at the same time. This is a picture of some modernthermal fuses.

Dryer quit running in mid cycle

It's the thermal fuse and it's easy to install if you have a front loader just take the kick panel off in front, make sure you remove the lint filter and the cover that goes up to the lint collector and you will see the thermal fuse. Make sure you unplug before doing this. Take the two screws out of the bottom of kick panel and than use a putty knife and push down and the panel will come right off. Hope this helps you out.
