I have a Kenmore Hvy Duty 70 series model 110. Clothes Wash machine. The cold water fill starts flowing normally and within 1 min or 2 the cold water slows to a trickle. If I turn the machine off and back on, it flows normally and then slows again. I hooked the hot water line to the cold port and seemed to run normally with no slowing. I've cleaned the screens and the water hoses but continue to have the slowing cold water problem??????
Any ideas............?

Its in your cold water line valve to the washer if it works good with hot water the valve are incoming line being blocked when you turn it on the pressure comes in fast then when pressure is gone water slows down so when its off the pressure builds back up it runs fast then slow

It is likely that a tissue or paper product was included with the wash load. The series 70 does not have a lint trap. At the hose connection to the house drain lint has been known to build up restricting the emptying. This buildup would not introduce lint into the washer.
If the water temperature is very very cold and you use powder detergent it will not dissolve completely into the water and will leave a white residue on the fabrics.
Try running a short load in the washer allowing for ample water to rinse out the machine before the next wash load.
Yours is a 2 speed motor. Does it spin in 2 different speeds. If so, then it most likely is designed with only to agitate in 1 speed. If it only spins in one speed, then your motor is defective
either the pressure switch is bad or the pressure switch hose from the wash tub to the pressure switch is kinked or plugged so air pressure cant reach switch and operate switch, remove hose at tub and blow into it and see if machine now operates,if not the switch is bad
You may have 2 defective parts. First, make sure the hot and cold water hoses are connected correctly and both turned on. If the water fill problem is the same, the water temp switch is bad. The not filling after the wash cycle could be a bad lid switch. Set the machine for SPIN and turn it on. If it does not spin, replace the lid switch.
The cubic feet of the Kenmore washer model 110 heavy duty is 2.8 cubic feet. Measured to the top water line 14.5 inches and using the radius of the tub of 10.375 inches
Yeah you need to replace the water valve. To get to it you need to remove the cabinet on the newer direct drive models, If yours has a rear access panel then you simply pop the top to get to the valve after removing the hoses. Fairly simple job. Here is a good website for direct drive coupling replacement . It shows you how to open the cabinet. http://repair2000.com/coupling.html GVI 151 is the generic part that fix all belt drive models. Direct drive will need its own little water valve buy hay it ain't but 20 bucks. For a better explanation post you model number in the comment box and I will research it further for you amigo.
most likely a water pressure issue try adj shut off valve off slowly until noise stops if water flow not enough ckd fill screens in back of valve for sediment and trash
