I have a 1980 era lang stove in a marine application that looks alot like a 36S-0.I dont have any serial or model #s. I need to replace the ring and bowl around each electric element. I am not sure if this is even the proper terminology. I need parts #s and an exploded diagram.

They have a thermal overload resistor in the burner itself and they have a propensity to burn out, or it could be the infinite switch. You will have to check resistance across the leads that correspond to each pinout. You can find this out by backtracing the wire to each terminal on the block. Replacement of either part is the only option, there are no safe alternatives to repair them. Hope this helps. BTW, you can go here for parts.

Sure can. One element can easily be replaced. If your model number is correct, you can find replacement parts at searspartsdirect.com. Type in your model number in the Search menu and the surface elements can be found under the "Cooktop Parts" heading. I do not know which element you have that is bad, but they are identified as item 12 and by wattage rating. Use care when selecting to make sure you identify the correct element. The smaller elements have a lower wattage rating than the larger elements. There's also an illustrated view for easy part identification. Some parts come with directions on how to replace. If no instructions are available, or if you need further guidance, go to my profile page and click on "Tips and Tricks. I have a write up listed there on how to replace a glass cooktop. Those same instructions can be used to replace a single element. Instead of removing all the elements and cooktop, you will only have to remove and replace the one element. Just make sure you unplug the range before starting and handle the elements with extreme caution. They are considered fragile. It may also help to have a second person assist. Hello! I have this stove in black where something went bad inside last week (made like a crunching sound). It still runs but seems to only be getting 110 electricity. Clock and lights work and the large oven stays warm. Everything was working fine until this happened. Could be an inexpensive fix- I willing to sell it for repair or parts if you are interested.
