Some XBox games have both a 360 and original XBox version, so you can't play them on the 360. Other games simply aren't compatible. Your game may fall into one of those two groups.
Contact Xbox, they are the only ones who can help you with that. Just go to xbox.com/support. Click on games then schroll down and finally click on contact.
You cannot play games purchased from other regions on your Xbox 360 without hacking the firmware. It is programmed to disallow this to combat piracy, unfortunately.
I would strongly recommend NOT hacking the firmware, because it comes with many, many disadvantages. The firmware is the code that runs the device, like an OS.
- With some firmware hacks you cannot go on Xbox Live. - You can be banned permanently from Xbox Live, your console AND your gamertag. - Your warranty will automatically devoid. - You can mess up your entire console, with no help because of no warranty as mentioned above. - Sometimes, there's no going back from a hacked firmware.
If you would still like to hack your firmware, make sure you do your research, and make sure you get it from a place you absolutely trust with lots of people saying it works and was easy. Some mean people have released fake firmware hacks that destroy your console.
Your Xbox 360 lens are most likely dirty. And your 360 probably has something like dust stopping it from scanning your games. I suggest blowing into your DVD drive carefully and gently. If it still doesn't work I recommend sending your Xbox 360 back to Microsoft for a new one if your under warranty. If you don't have a warranty you could clean you lens by your self. But opening your 360 to clean the lens could make it worse so do it at your own risk.
if your creating an account thru the dashboard you need to have a valid credit card or redeem a code from a live account purchased from a retail store.
This message sometimes comes up if you have copied the game to the 360`s hard drive , the game will only be playable if it is in the DVD drive as the 360 needs to know if you still own that game . It will spin the drive to see if you still own it and then load it off the hard Drive .
