Sta-rite mse-7 vertical jet well pump will not prime.

If your Sta-rite vertical mse-7 pump will not prime, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the water level: Make sure the water level in the pool or spa is high enough to reach the skimmer and the pump. Low water levels can cause the pump to lose prime.
  2. Check the skimmer basket: Make sure the skimmer basket is clean and free of debris. A clogged skimmer basket can restrict water flow and prevent the pump from priming.
  3. Check the pump lid O-ring: Make sure the pump lid O-ring is in good condition and properly seated. A damaged or misaligned O-ring can cause air leaks and prevent the pump from priming.
  4. Check the suction plumbing: Check the suction plumbing for leaks, cracks, or other damage. Any air leaks on the suction side of the pump can cause loss of prime.
  5. Check the impeller: If the impeller is damaged or clogged with debris, it can prevent the pump from priming. Remove the pump basket and inspect the impeller for damage or debris. Clean or replace the impeller as needed.
  6. Check the pump seal: If the pump seal is damaged, it can allow air to enter the pump and prevent priming. Inspect the pump seal for damage and replace it if necessary.
If none of these troubleshooting steps resolve the issue, you may need to call a professional pool service technician to diagnose and repair the problem.

Have deep well vetical sta rite pump both pipes in ground staying full of water will not pump press does not looose prime but wont build press

We are renting a house with an in ground concrete pool. Repeated attempts to get the pump and filter going have failed. The pump motor starts but there is no movement from the pressure gauge on the Sta...

The pump does not need to be on during the fill process. You don't need to turn the pump on until the water level gets to the middle of the skimmer. The skimmer pulls water out of the pool to power the pump. It then goes through the filter and out the returns (jets) into the pool. If there is not enough water going to the pump (through the skimmer), the pump will run dry and burn up.

How do you prime a sta-rite mse-6 deep well pump?

Take the pressure guage off and pour water in the hole untill it fills the pump, then screw the guage back on and cranck it up. You may have to do this a few times depending on how deep in the grownd the water is.

2 hp vertical sta-rite well pump

Did you prime the pump? To prime: Before turning pump on, unscrew plug cap from top of pump (usually on pump impeller housing,) and with a pitcher or garden hose, fill pump full of water, and replace plug. Then turn pump on and see if problem is solved. If leaking: Are all fittings tight, O-rings and seals new, and is there any pipe thread tape on all threads w/o seals?
