Logitech say the EXtreme 3D PRO WON'T work on my MAC, HELP !!

Well... I was wondering how to make it work on our Mac. So I downloaded the free version of X-Plane 10 off the internet, and I was not sure that the joystick would work. But when I got on the game, I plugged the joystick into the back of our computer and the game said that a joystick has been found. So I clicked on calibrate joystick and then it worked right then. But it is hard to program the joystick buttons too the different commands for the game. Hope this helps. :)

I couldn't finde logitech force 3d pro driver for mac.

This joystick has native Mac support. You should just be able to plug it in and use it without the need of drivers.

Have purchased a new extreme 3d pro for my Mac but there is no manual or software for a Mac included in the package. As I am not totally computer literate, any help would be appreciated. Mac OSX 10.6.6

I'll include a few links for you. First is the main page for the joystick (I think I want one now. )

    http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/gaming/joysticks/devices/291

If you look at that there is a support link click on that. You will see all the downloads.

All there is are the manual and a windows calibration program.

This is the link for the manuals.

    http://www.logitech.com/repository/1398/pdf/13070.1.0.pdf
    http://logitech-en-emea.custhelp.com/ci/fattach/get/28637/

Unfortunately this is a PC oriented device so there is no Max support. If you look at your hardware under joystick or human input devices it should recognize the joystick. Run the calibration from there. Check to see if all the buttons are recognized. You could contact logitech support and ask if they have a max specific manual of faq hidden away somewhere.

I just ordered a new Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick for my son for Christmas. He has a MacBook. The box on the joystick says PC on it. Does this mean it wont work with a MAC? If it does, how will he...

    Hi,

The logitech site states that the joystick works with Mac OS 9 or later.

    http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/gaming/joysticks/devices/291#section=features

As the system requirements do not state any hard drive space is required for a Mac it will probably install drivers required automatically.

If the product does not work contact Logitech through the support option

How do I custom program the buttons on a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick that I bought for my Mac to use with the F/A-18 OIF game? I don't see anything in the game software for customizing the joystick. ...

I just bought a copy of ControllerMate. Solved all of my button problems with my new Extreme 3D Pro and FA-18 OIF. You can program all the buttons in any way you want. Single key or multi-key entries. I'm running it all on a new MacBook Pro 2.53 Core i5 and it works perfect.
I was astounded that the old 2003 OIF would work on this new intel mac but it does.

    How to install on Mac

Logitech does not provide any gaming software for the Mac platform. However, Logitech gaming devices are supported natively in Mac OSX. This means you can still use your Logitech gaming device, provided that the game you are playing supports a gamepad, joystick, etc.
If you are using a gamepad, and you'd like more programmability, you can use third party software such as Gamepad Companion. Keep in mind that this is third party software and you should contact the manufacturer of the software should you have any issues or questions about using the software.
