Since it is gas, you need to find out if the ignitor is coming on to ignite the gas (if you have gas getting to the burners). HI, Check your 4" vent to the outside and make sure it is clean and that it has no kinks.
Any restriction to the outside will cause the dryer to short cycle. All thermostats must have continuity. With the dryer running, remove the lint screen and check to see if there is good air flow by putting your hand in where the filter goes (it is safe). You should feel air rushing past your hand if the vent is clear.

replace the igniter. The ignitor is the most comon problem with gas appliances checking continuity does not tell you if it is bad or not it has to draw a certain amount of amps to open the gas safty valve and the is no safe way to check this on most gas dryers

replace the coils on burner valve ..they will fail sometimes after initial heat up both are in kit change both

Does the ignition glow when you start the dryer? if so you have power to gas valve and ignition system. if not you may have an open thermostat or thermalfuse.

If the ignitor just sits there and glows all day, you have other problems, It could be a gas valve, or ignitor sensor.
