The picture still is on, but very dim. At start up, sometimes the TV will not turn on, and restarts itself before some backlight is seen. I think it is the bulb, however I want to make sure that it isn't the color wheel. Is there a way, by removing components to verify if the color wheel is bad?
If the colors look good and its just dim its the lamp. usually the lamp will show signs of being bad by looking at the base of the shaft in the middle if its discolored or warped the lamp is bad
