Have you pressed Fn and F3 simultaneously?

start your computer keep pushin f2 now youll see first use arrow keys go to were it says change reboot to f12 then restart your computer then it be set on a f12 press f12 then it will ask to run your windows go to that one.

This depends on the operating system in use. to rebot, click on start on the bottom left hand coner of your monitor, click on turn off computer, click on restart or press r on keyboard. Sit back and watch the computer completely shut down and turn on again

usually a hardware switch is your culprit. On the Acer Aspire 5520 the "easy launch buttons" include an enable/disable for the wireless LAN. It is up above the keyboard and unless it has been reprogrammed press the 2nd key from the left on the application buttons (looks like a satellite)

try to use the vga output enable function key. it should be one of the "F-keys" (F5, F6...) hold the "Fn" key (generally in blue for the acer aspire 5520 series) and press a key that has a drawing resembling two monitors, but not the one that has a brightness drawing inside on of them, as it will turn off your main screen backlights. in the acer aspire 5520, it is the F5 key. look for a picture of this model's keyboard and you should see a similar key on your netbook as it is a manufacturer standard.

Mouse / Touchpad not working

If the mouse/touchpad is not working, ensure that it is turned on. Press and hold the blue "Fn" key located in the lower left hand corner of the keyboard. and tap the "F7" key one time.
Fn-F7
A message should flash across the bottom center of the screen stating "touchpad enabled".

If this does not address the issue, the notebook may need service.

Does it have blue tooth? Click "Start", "Connect to", "Blue Tooth", If that does not work, go to "Control Panel", then it should be there somewhere...

check if dvd drive will eject if not
if it doesnt - try another socket
if still gets nothing - change fuse in plug
if same - try another power adapter (preferably from same manufacturer and model)
If still doesnt get power try get new power supply unit from repair shop or get quote for cost to fix

go to ebay and find a replacement keyboard, look online for sites on how to do laptop repair, you will find it pretty easy!

On your model, Function and F7 pressed together turn the pad on and off. Note that you can also advance the selected button or control with the TAB key and go back to the previous control with CTRL-TAB (space or enter selects) so you don't actually have to have the touch pad working to control Windows.
