Mac OS should see the cancorder as an external drive.
Manually copy across the MPG files using your OS.

I have an apple laptop, how do I transfer from my camcorder to a dvd on my apple.

You do not need drivers to get the footage from tape to a Mac. You do require a firewire cable and use iMovie or Final Cut to capture.

I have a JVC GZ-HD300 Hard disc video camera and when using Everio Mediabrowser which comes with the camera download to convert my videos the conversion leaves the finished video blurred

Hi.

If the original footage was sharp, that means that you are probably using wrong compression parameter or format on Everio, while doing conversion.

If the source movie was blurred instead, try using the Advanced Image Stabilisation option, usually available in new JVC HD camcorder menu.

Everio has different quality settings. Each time you increase compression you lower quality.

Also ensure that the camera was not in a low definition setting.

Regards.

I had a ton of videos on my jvc Everio camcorder. i deleted them all thinking i already uploaded them on my hp laptop. i was wrong. They are not there. The upload went wrong and only a few videos went on...

Don't worry. There is a way to get back those deleted video files from your digital camcorder, but it is just possible. Because if those deleted files has been overwritten by new files you saved in, then there is no hope. But usually overwritten cases are hard to happen as long as the memory card or hard disk has enough volume.

Then, take so called data recovery program to handle the issue and see if you can grab some or all of the deleted files back. Here are some recovery software you may take a try.

If you are running Windows, try this video photo recovery program.
If you are using Mac OS X, turn to this Mac photo video recover software.

You should take care - before your files are recovered, do not save more files to the device concerned(do not take more videos or photos) in case overwritten situation will happen.
