Nokia 1110i says sim card not deteted even after sim card is inserted. Gives same message even after other simcards are inserted

if that is your second sim card inserted ..try inserting the first simcard you inserted...
it should not show communication error again..i also don't understand why it shows like that everytime i put another simcard...NOKIA IS ****

you simcard maybe damage but try to clean it with an eraser.

Hi, there may be some static on the sim that is affecting it. Rub it on your trousers before re-inserting to the phone, this can sometimes help. Have you tried the sim in another phone, it may be the sim thats at fault??

This is happening because when the Sim card is not inserted you cannot access the menu of the phone some nokia phones(including yours) are built that way.

Some nokia phones do not need a sim card for you to access the phone menu (e.g 5130,5230), while you can only view the demo of some nokia phones (e.g 1208, 1600) without a sim card

Steps Turn your device off. Remove SIM card And MMC card. (actually not need to remove, but after format remember to format memory card and reboot phone) Press (3 + * + CallButton) Together. Turn your device on while you are pressing the three buttons. You should now see "Formatting .." word on the Screen! Leave the buttons now

hi the only one thing you can try without replacing the sim card reader is do you know when you put the simcard in if you push on the simcard with your finger so your pushing it down onto the contacts is fold up some paper so that it put pressure onto the simcard when you put the battery on as alot of times the contacts dont touch the sim card properly so putting some folded paper on top of sim card pushes it down onto the contacts properly.
This solves the problem in most cases but it can be difficult to get right as if the paper isnt thick enough then it might not push it down hard enough to make contact.
If after doing this it still dont work then this either means the sim cards no good but you could try it in another phone or it could be that the sim card reader is not connecting with the board properly and would need replacing.
Make sure you check the contacts are clean on the sim card and the sim card reader to make sure this isnt problem.
If you have not tried the sim card in a different phone then it could be the sim card is no good.
Did this sim work in the phone before just in case the phone dont accept that network as you can get this message if this is the case.

its the contact of the simcard to the leads. try putting a thin piece of paper over the sim so that there would be pressure on the sim. as always, think of the contact.
