I'm trying to use my B&D B2300 for the first time. I have followed all the directions and made all selections required for the "basic" setting. I then turn the power "ON" and I wait. The screen shows "3:30" and counts down with the colon flashing. After 45 minutes, nothing has happened. What is the problem?
I had the same problem. Check the delay start button even though it doesn't tell you to. To get my machine to work the first time I used Menu #3 (which does not have a delay start) and it worked. Then I tried to use the dough cycle and it wouldn't go either, so I unplugged the machine, plugged it back in, went to Menu # 3 first to see the time (which was 1:50) then I checked the delay time to make sure it was also set at 1:50. Mine was not (it said 2:00) so I moved it down to 1:50 and it started 15 minutes later. I really don't like this 15 minute delay on this machine. I am going to try regular bread later and I will make sure that the delay time is the same as the time given for completing the loaf ( ie make sure it says 3:30 NOT 13:30. I hope this works.
I tried my regular bread setting like I said I was going to in the previous solution and it worked. Here are the steps that I did. Put pan in machine, plugged unit in, set my loaf for 2.5 lb, set light setting. I checked machine setting and it said 3:30. Then I went to the delay start and it said 13:30 which meant that it would not be ready for thirteen hours, so I decreased the time to 3:30. Then I hit the start button so that the : display started blinking. The machine started counting down and I expected it to turn on at 3:15 but it did not turn on until 3:10. (I think the factory setting has been set wrong on my machine and always has a delay start of thirteen hours instead of on delay at all. I hope this helps you.
