Leapster2 shows low battery but the batteries test

The low battery indicator flashes then the Leapster 2 shuts off. I take out the batteries and test them and all four are solidly charged.

I am using alkaline batteries, but my original question did make it sound like I was using rechargeable batteries.

When trying to download free starter game I get the messasge that my leapster2 is not connected, that I need to replace batteries or make sure I am using eject (which I have done everytime). How can I make...

Hi,
When you first time connected your Leapster 2 to your PC using LeapFrog Connect, first of all, the software need to be updated both on the PC and in the console. It will takes times for at least 10-20 mins for it to complete the update. You have to wait until the status show "connected".
Sometimes, it will takes longer. So, what I did before is uninstall the LeapFrog Connect and reinstall it. It works perfect after that. Hope it helps.

BTW, you can get more downloadable games for your Leapster 2 here:

Does the leapster2 recharging station fit the leapster

This will only recharge the batteries approx. 300 times! After that it is useless! I had to throw mine out because it would no longer hold the charge. Save your money and just buy regular rechargeable batteries.
but to answer your question, no sorry it wont fit.
good luck!
