Unstable 52'' TV. don't want to mount on wall

I just bought a 52'' Sony KDL52V5100 flat screen TV but need to secure it to a base cabinet, not the wall. Any suggestions? It's very unstable & I'm worried if an earthquake strikes. Thank you.

Hi,
There is support belt supplied with TV that need to be fixed on TV stand base and shelf / base cabinet to avoid any toppling over.
Please check user manual of your TV, procedure is written there.
Thanks.

Hi. I have an old Sony Wega 32" LCD TV which I

ok it depends on the wall mount but this is the basic idea of it. make sure there is at least one other person to help you.
1. Make sure everything is off and unplugged from the tv. 2. If you have cables holding your tv to the wall remove them. 3. there should be securing screws at both sides of the arms attaching the tv to the wall. loosen them/ remove them. 4. lift and pull the tv away from the wall. have a friend help you. 5. remove the screws and bolts from the tv and the wall mount and you should be done.
If this doesn't work, find the manual for the wall mount. if you need help or additional tips put them in the comments. Thanks

My screen went blank and now the standby light is flashing indicating service is needed.

Sorry to break bad news, but this indicates a power supply problem. Your set will need to be serviced by a trained technician

Sony bravia pedestal stand is unstable

http://www.docs.sony.com/release/SUWL31_EN_ES_FR.pdf This link will show what it looks like when removing base to wall mount. They always recomend a mounting strap that connects to the rear of the TV and then screws into the table it will be sitting on.Not sure what they expect you to do if you have a glass top table. http://www.docs.sony.com/release/SUWL31_EN_ES_FR.pdf
This is a link to all the downloadable manuals and what not.Well hope this will help, and good luck.

Sony Bravia 40" LCD TV Stand

There is a slotted area on the bottom of the unit and the bracket on the stand slides over top of it. There should have been four screws that came with the packaging that fit in the four locations in the lower center of the cabinet back that secures the unit to the Stand.
I hope this helps,

Mounting under flat screen tv

There is no wall mount bracket for the VCS-10. It was not designed to be wall mounted. Your best solution is to mount a 22"x8" shelf to the wall 4-6" below the TV. Make sure it is mounted sturdy enough to support 10lbs.
