Connected DVD player to Sanyo DS27930 TV via input

Whatever input you are using is either damaged or the tv is on the wrong channel and I'm sure you don't have it set on the wrong channel.

1. Another method would be to connect an old VCR to the TV through the cable plug on the back of the TV.

2. Then plug your PS3 or dvd player into the VCR's rca inputs on the back.

This works but your television has to have a cable plug on the back.

The Input button on the original remote is needed to switch to the AV1 or AV2 connections. Unfortunately, I do not believe that the Sanyo DS27930 has an equivalent Input button on the TV. A replacement remote is available here: http://www.emtcompany.com/sanyo-ds27930-remote/rc64.html . Other universal remotes may be able to transmit the Input signal. You will need a remote that was programmed over 6 months after the TV was released with an Input or Source button. Then try all Sanyo codes until you find one that controls all of the features.

If your DVD player and TV have RCA jacks, (3 wires: 2 audio, 1 video) simply patch between the two. If TV does not have RCA jacks, plug the DVD wires (3) into the 'line input 1' on VCR. This way, the VCR is acting as a 'converter' btwn. the DVD player and the TV.

You MUST select EXTERNAL Input, NOT a Channel. You MUST connect up via, the INPUTS at rear, either COMPONENT, or COMPOSITE, Or, HDMI. Except for HDMI, ALL Cables, go Color Jack, to Color jack. 3 for composite & Audio, and 5 for Component & Audio.

open the menu screen and go to input

Check what is input number of S-Video in TV and select that av input with TV remote.

press the TV button on the remote then press input to sellect video mode

Sanyo DS27930 does not support progressive scan
DVD player must be set to interlaced scan

connect the composite video output of the player to the composite video input of your TV. The jack should be marked in yellow. Then connect your Audio input of the tv to the Audio out of the player.
