Damaged disc for Vivitar ViviCam X024

We just got a Vivitar ViviCam X024 for Christmas. We had so much trouble taking it out of the plastic packaging that we damaged the CD entitled Vivitar Experience Image Manager. Is this program available online for us to download or can we buy another CD? (Bad packaging, we feel.) Thanks -- Jan

And yes, it is bad packaging. Vivitar has started putting stickers on the packages warning that there is a CD inside.

The X024 is designed primarily as a still camera. It does not record sound in video mode. You can add a soundtrack using video-editing software on a computer, but you cannot record one on this camera.

My daughter received the ViviCam 8025 as a Christmas gift but there was no battery in the packaging. Vivitar has offerred to send me a battery but it will take 3-4 weeks for it to get here & I can't...
It uses a Rayovac 5100LB or equivalent, also used by a number of cell phones. Try looking among cell phone batteries.
