check to see if the drawer is in allignment and if so, replace the dvd loader.

you can buy a universal remote that works for sanyo

The motor for the DVD drive may be busted. I reccomend getting a new DVD/VCR Combo. otherwise, your dvd player is basically fried

Turn on unit
Select DVD
Open tray
Press 0520 then in sequence press arrow up, down, left and right
Enter desired Region Code ( 0 for multi region)
Press Enter to exit

It would help a lot more if you would specify which UEI Remote you had, but here are some instructions.

1. Go to http://www.urcsupport.com/
2. Select the remote model that is yours
3. Try the "Video-DVD" and the "Video-VCR" to determine which code will work.
