Email Sending Generally, for the most part I can send and receive emails gr8 on my phone. However certain emails come back undelivered saying that the recipent is "invalid". I know for a fact that his/her email address is valid, sometimes I'm even replying to an email they send me. Why does my phone send emails to some recipents, but not others? How can I fix this problem. Thanks

If the email address has more than 32 charchters then sprint will reject it. I ditched my outlook on the phone for GMAIL mobile you can setup all your POP email addresses with gmail and never have problems like the ones your having. gmail is google email. the added benifit to using gmail is that you can free up your on phone memory to store email for other things like slide to unlock s2u2 which will prevent pocket calls and save your battery.

I get 500 emails/day: undelivered mail, returned to sender as if they are coming from me

From the brief description I would have to say it seems like your email address is being used by a spammer. Either because they have access to your email or they are using your email address as the sender without access to the account. The first thing you should do is try to change the password for your email address. If you are using gmail simply login to your account. click on settings in the upper right of the screen, chose accounts and imports, and then change password and follow the prompts. Other website based email accounts should have a similar procedure. If your email is from your ISP provider you would have to contact them to change the password. If they are sending the email without access to your account, then their is not much that you can do.

When I reply to certain emails on my msn account I get an (Authentication error sending) and the message won't send

Hi,

The email address in which you are trying to reply are not for receiving emails. You cannot send email to that address. You can only receive mail from that address.

Hope this solves your query.

When sending an email using yahoo mail program ,

Make sure that you are not on the blocked list of the reciepent. If this is not he case ask him to check the spam/bulk folder. This is becausemails with certain keywords are automatically redirected there. Ask the reciepent to open it and mark your mail as "Not spam". That should prevent this from happening in future.

Problem sending email

First of all, do you know if the company received your resume?
Call them and see if they received it via email.
If they haven't, I would just start a msn @live.com email account you can use for business. MSN has larger storage and it's very
easy to set up an account free.

I cannot post to my site. Get mail but cannot reply

Are you receiving emails correctly from Facebook (i.e. not your Facebook inbox, your actual email address e.g. [email protected])?

Make sure your email address is correct in your profile or that your email account is not returning mail undelivered. I'm not certain but it is possible Facebook could disable you from posting messages if your email address is not set up correctly.

Can receive emails but cannot send emails

Send problems. There are several common causes of problems with sending email:

  • Mail queued. If you appear to be able to send email but it never arrives, it may be in a queue. Some applications put email in a queue when you send it, and the user has to manually send all queued mail to actually transmit it. Check your File and Edit menus for any queues, and also check the status of the email in the Out mailbox to see if it was actually sent -- if not, send it again.

  • Send on check. This is a common problem -- many email servers are configured to use the password authentication involved with checking mail to allow the sending of mail, and therefore require clients to check for mail at the same time or just before sending mail. If you get an intermittent error message and can send at some times and not others, make sure the option "send on check" is enabled in your email settings. As a temporary fix, you can often solve the problem by manually checking for mail shortly (a few seconds or minutes) before sending mail. This problem can also produce the message "relaying not allowed" described below, for much the same reason.

  • Relaying not allowed. Many Internet access providers require clients within their network to use their own servers for sending mail, as a policy intended to cut down on email spammers sending spam through other provider's servers. If you have more than one email address and can download mail without problems from a POP account with a different domain name than is used by your Internet access provider, but get the error "Relaying not allowed" when you try to send, then you probably need to set the outgoing SMTP server address to the mail server of your Internet service provider, instead of your email provider. Search your Internet network provider's home page or call technical assistance to obtain the address of their SMTP server, and enter it in your email client settings (first copy and save your existing server setting in case you need to set it back). This error message can also be produced by the "send on check" issue described in the bullet above.

  • Server down. If you can do a successful connection check, and the above suggestions don't help, and a recipient continues to say that email sent from you does not arrive, and you are certain their address is spelled correctly, then one of the email servers between you and your destination is likely down. Blocked email is typically cached and sent when the missing server comes back up, usually within a few hours or days. If the problem persists and you can successfully send to other email addresses, then the email provider of your recipient is likely having a problem -- you should contact them by phone and ask them if they are getting email from anyone else, request they send an email to you, and if necessary suggest they do a connection check from their end to help diagnose the problem.
